The Golden Age Of Music: The Civil Wars →
“And one thing is true,” Williams adds, “you can pirate music, but you can’t ever pirate the actual experience of going to a show and seeing someone perform live. We try to keep that in perspective, and it motivates us to make each night on stage count.”

welltreasured:
Yoannaaa darling… I hope you’re in the pink. A fruit of your upbringing, seems like you’ll never cease to sing. But see, it’s a good thing, because as such you’ll think, “Oh what is this feeling? Such a joy it brings!” And I know your life won’t be just a fling, won’t be just a matter of diamond ring, because to others your affection will cling, our hearts connected by an unbroken...

Exactly my point. On why English is actually the hardest language of all.
creamlacedresses:
Found this on Vogue Forums and it was too good not to post on Tumblr.
If you can pronounce correctly every word in this poem, you will be speaking English better than 90% of the native English speakers in the world.

The Canticle of Mary
I was transported back to the days when I joined the Legion of Mary, and how peaceful I felt every time I said the Magnificat. And truly, it’s the perfect day to acknowledge the kindness Mother Mary has always given me, throughout the hard days of my life. I could never forget how I always turned to her, especially back in junior high, in the little chapel just behind the school, and...

2011 - A Year in Review
2011 has been a very blessed year, I couldn’t have been more grateful. The first semester was spent while Edwin went for exchange in US! Initially, it felt soooo longgggg. But the semester soon proved to be the busiest semester ever, thanks to Corp Rep, and soon enough he’s backkk!!
The first semester was filled with the exam preparation madness, camping in the library, counting down to lunch and...

matters/clutters
here i am,
transported yet again to the past.
rummaging the past through the yellowed files, now smell like old papers, been kept too long.
i still laughed when i saw my essays from school back then
or old photographs and whimsical sketches, of christmas cards.
but this time i let go, have chosen which ones to keep, has one changed if what used to matter now cease to do so?
clutter, they...

BY JOHN STRALEY
(After Raymond Carver’s Hummingbird)
Suppose I said the word “springtime”
and I wrote the words “king salmon”
on a piece of paper
and mailed it to you. When you opened it
would you remember that afternoon we spent
together in the yellow boat
when the early whales were feeding
and we caught our first fish of...

Alabaster Box-Sara Westafer →
The room grew still As she made her way to Jesus She stumbles through the tears that made her blind She felt such pain Some spoke in anger Heard folks whisper There’s no place here for her kind Still on she came Through the shame that flushed her face Until at last, she knelt before his feet And though she spoke no words Everything she said was heard As she poured her love for the Master...

I used to get upset over giant papercuts and math equations Nothing stuck in my craw more than dogfights and shopping malls and tax evasion And sexist tabloid culture and Brangelina and paparazzi And Proposition 8 and discrimination and neo-Nazis But anymore these things don’t seem to bother me Ever since I started hanging out with Mr. T He...

68
We had our belated anniversary lunch today at Ajisen. And guess what, they’re also having their anniversary and apparently they existed since 1968. Which is quite funny since our anniversary date is actually 6/8 (6 August). Coincidence? Because we totally weren’t planning to eat there; it was like a bolt out of the blue that I suddenly felt like eating ramen.
Okay maybe not so funny....
