When Facebook ad actually works…
Yea, it drew my attention when it asked “Fan of Mumford and Sons? Check this out!” and yeah, I didn’t regret it and Jenny & Tyler such a mesmerizing band with such a beautiful song with haunting lyrics. They’ve got nice harmonies too, a perfect recipe for my kind of song :) Too got not to be spread around!
the problem’s not a gun, not a color, not a hundred dollar bill
we think the struggle can be won with simple thoughts like ‘come together be good willed’
the gap between the rich and poor is spreading out all the more or so they say
we ignore the claims
o my soul, faint not, no
faint not | o my soul, keep up, up
in love
it’s not that we don’t know or we’re not shown the proof of poverty
it’s not that we don’t have the tools to go to break this yoke of slavery
we quit because it’s not an easy fix and then forget that they are even there
we forget to care
o my soul, faint not, no
faint not | o my soul, keep up, up
in love
where there is hatred, let me sow love
where there is injury, let me pardon
where there is darkness, let the Light come, come
Moonrise Kingdom 8tracks Mixes <3
This is such a fun and novel way to publicize a movie! Wes Anderson’s new film, Moonrise Kingdom, set to release in May 25th (see the trailer here). Its music supervisor, Randall Poster has created this sets of 8tracks mixes (yes there are a couple of mixes), each one depicts the favorite songs of the each character, from Cousin Ben to Jed the Pilot.
And the music speaks for itself, for it really feels like summer in 1965! From The McCoys’ “Hang On Sloopy” to Freddie & The Dreamers’ “I’m Telling You Now”, these playlists will truly make your summer days. Click the image below to listen!

May the owl be ever in your favour! :))
Have fun in Germany, which I’m sure you do! <3
*click on the link you can see inspiration for owl party! whee! haha.
Just sayin
It would be a nice change if professors could just stop explaining how to answer the exam question in the middle of the class as if what all the students care about are just how to score (maybe they do though). For me, it severely dampens any motivation to actually learn and find another meaning to it. If there’s one time where I could really enjoy the lesson just purely out of curiosity, it would be History class during secondary. In college, it’s probably just Italiano… Okay I might be biased because these subjects have always been my interests, but that doesn’t make it any less true. Oh wells.
Canzone molto bella del Neri Per Caso! I hope my translation is correct, but I think that’s the gist of it :)) <3
Quando
Quando saremo grandi
e capiremo un po’ di più
tutti saremo vicini
e… mai… mai nemici
(When we grow old and understand a bit better, we all will be neighbors and never, never enemies)
Quando saremo ricchi
di sentimenti e di umanità
tutti sapremo vincere
o perdere ma con umiltà
(When we’re rich of feelings and humanity, we will know winning, or losing, but with humility)
Quando saremo più saggi
e questo millennio passato sarà
tutti fratelli nell’anima
liberi… e vedrai così sarà
(When we’re wiser and this millennium has passed, all brothers in soul, free and you’ll see it’ll be)
Giorni che gira male
e c’e’ poco da pregare
ma c’è ancora da sperare
che domani cambierà
(Days which turn evil and there’s little to pray, but there’s still hope that will change tomorrow)
giovanning :))
Yoannaaa darling…
I hope you’re in the pink.
A fruit of your upbringing,
seems like you’ll never cease to sing.
But see, it’s a good thing,
because as such you’ll think,
“Oh what is this feeling?
Such a joy it brings!”
And I know your life won’t be just a fling,
won’t be just a matter of diamond ring,
because to others your affection will cling,
our hearts connected by an unbroken string.
And may you find constant awakening,
in your days, as if it’s a new breath of spring
Bruises - Chairlift
Recording at the new home at PL :) You could hear the sound of airplane hovering around. What a feeling to finally be able to enjoy an early night, doing things that I’ve been wanting to do :)
Sending my love to my noisy bunch IJ friends who I miss oh so much. Thanks to smartphones which unite us all <3
Sure. Sure. He’s okay. Aren’t you, Cat? Poor old Cat. Poor slob. Poor slob without a name. I don’t have the right to give him one. We don’t belong to each other. We just took up one day. I don’t want to own anything until I find a place where me and things go together. I’m not sure where that is, but I know what it’s like. It’s like Tiffany’s.
--Breakfast at Tiffany’s - Holly
My wife’s ben dead two years, Will. And when I think about her, those are the things I think about most. Little idiosyncrasies that only I knew about. Those made her my wife. And she had the goods on me too. Little things I do out of habit. People call these things imperfections Will. It’s just who we are. And we get to chose who we’re going to let into out weird little worlds. You’re not perfect. And let me save you the suspense, this girl you met isn’t either. The question is, whether or not you’re perfect for each other. You can know everything in the world, but the only way you’re findin’ that one out is by giving it a shot.

The Canticle of Mary
I was transported back to the days when I joined the Legion of Mary, and how peaceful I felt every time I said the Magnificat. And truly, it’s the perfect day to acknowledge the kindness Mother Mary has always given me, throughout the hard days of my life. I could never forget how I always turned to her, especially back in junior high, in the little chapel just behind the school, and whatever I’ve asked through her have been granted. Truly blessed :)

“My soul glorifies the Lord, my spirit rejoices in God, my Saviour. He looks on his servant in her lowliness; henceforth all ages will call me blessed. The Almighty works marvels for me. Holy his name! His mercy is from age to age, on those who fear him.He puts forth his arm in strength and scatters the proud-hearted.He casts the mighty from their thrones and raises the lowly. He fills the starving with good things, sends the rich away empty. He protects Israel, his servant, remembering his mercy, the mercy promised to our fathers, to Abraham and his sons for ever.”
